CPS Worker for Interreligious Dialogue and Peacebuilding (f/m/x)

Your tasks

  • You coordinate and organize capacity-building activities for youth and diocesan coordinators in collaboration with CIRDE staff – focusing on topics such as interreligious dialogue, ecumenism, nonviolence, and peacebuilding.
  • You support the development of sustainable structures within CIRDE at both national and diocesan levels.
  • You promote unity and mutual understanding in interreligious and ecumenical matters among partners.
  • You further develop and improve CIRDE’s existing research and documentation system.
  • You network with existing partners and expand established networks.
  • You will be responsible for the proper expenditure and management of funds on site in accordance with donor guidelines and AGIAMONDO specifications. In doing so, you will work in partnership with colleagues from the partner organisation.

  • You hold a Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Religious Studies, or Peace Studies and ideally have practical experience in applying scientific methods and analyzing complex issues in the field of interreligious dialogue.
  • You have practical knowledge of Do-No-Harm approaches and conflict sensitivity.
  • You are capable of planning and implementing activities as part of a team.
  • You are familiar with digital formats and confident in using social media environments.
  • You are fluent in English; knowledge of Kiswahili is an asset.
  • You hold a valid driver’s license and have driving experience for travel within Nairobi and to project areas.
  • You identify as a member of the Catholic Church, support the goals and values of church-based development and peace work, and represent them convincingly.

AGIAMONDO e.V. is the personnel service of German Catholics for development cooperation. In the Civil Peace Service, we offer professionals the opportunity for meaningful service in cooperation with local development actors. The Civil Peace Service (ZFD) is a personnel program for violence prevention and peacebuilding in crisis and conflict regions. It is committed to a world in which conflicts are resolved without violence.

The Commission for Interreligious Dialogue and Ecumenism (CIRDE) is part of the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops. It promotes dialogue between religions and denominations and is committed to nonviolence and peace. CIRDE works with dioceses across the country and organizes trainings, workshops, and networking events. Its goal is to build sustainable structures for dialogue and strengthen cooperation among faith communities.
