Your new role

Jordan and the surrounding countries are suffering from a severe shortage of natural resources. The scarcity of resources and environmental degradation are serving to increase social tensions between the Jordanian population, refugees and other minorities.
EcoPeace ME is a regional organization that is part of an international network bringing together Jordanian, Palestinian and Israeli environmentalists. The organization works with people of different backgrounds, religions and cultures. In the Middle East, it brings together Christians, Muslims and Jews to work for environmental protection and sustainable access to resources for everyone in the region. EcoPeace ME projects focus on cross-border environmental issues, water security, sanitation and renewable energy, and address youth, local communities, decision makers, the private sector and the international community. In particular, it is intended to address pupils, young people, teachers and young entrepreneurs who can act as active members and multipliers of an environmentally conscious society. They are to be trained, enabled and encouraged to take steps towards sustainable development and peacebuilding. EcoPeace ME trains selected groups who have the potential to act as multipliers to create a network of young leaders and professionals, who work together to advance solutions to reduce the waste that threatens the marine life and biodiversity of the Red Sea.

  • You will promote a sustainable education network by updating stakeholder mapping, engaging, soliciting and building relationships with potential partners and donors, and you will participate in the development and implementation of the new communications and networking strategy.
  • You will support the implementation of training programmes and assist internal and external trainers with the preparation of training materials as well as the preparation of training courses.
  • You will organise local, regional and international guest speakers for initiatives and events.
  • You will be responsible for the proper spending and management of funds in the field according to donor guidelines and AGIAMONDO's requirements. In doing so, you will work in partnership with EcoPeace ME.

Your profil
