Your new role

Our partner organisation FIND, based in rural Gbarnga, was founded in 2002. As a human rights organisation, FIND aims to achieve greater justice, respect for human rights, good governance and the rule of law in Liberia. FIND works for peaceful coexistence between the country's various population groups and provides legal assistance to victims of human rights violations. In particular, FIND wants to enable women to access the legal system and to promote the legal punishment of gender-based violence (GBV). By monitoring the judicial system, promoting human rights awareness, mediation services, dialogue programmes and educational events in the communities, FIND supports the local population, while at the national level it works to change the political framework through lobbying and advocacy initiatives. The organisation is run by a small management team and works mainly with volunteers. FIND's strengths are its local presence in the village communities, its large network of governmental and non-governmental actors and its consistency in accompanying the communities. FIND uses local traditions and customs as approaches to conflict resolution in its peace work.
As part of its strategic planning for the coming years, FIND aims to adapt its organisational structure to the constantly changing challenges in order to continue to support and strengthen local dialogue, peace and reconciliation processes effectively through a stable working environment. • You accompany "Palaver Hut" dialogues and support FIND in its peace work in the communities.
  • You will be responsible for the proper spending and management of funds locally in accordance with the donor and AGIAMONDO guidelines. In doing so, you will work in partnership with FIND.

Corona - Information about the selection procedure

Dear applicants,

even in the current situation, we will gladly accept your application via the online application portal. We are currently conducting the selection process online. We offer our preparatory courses as digital services.
Currently, many of our development workers work from home. Some of them had to leave their places of work temporarily and stay in their home countries. Whether and when development workers can work on the ground on projects again, we will decide in each individual case responsibly and together with the partners.
