Responsible and Challenging

AGIAMONDO e.V. is the personnel service of German Catholics for development cooperation. In the Civil Peace Service we offer professionals the opportunity for meaningful service in cooperation with local development actors. The Civil Peace Service (CPS) is a personnel program for violence prevention and peacebuilding in crisis and conflict regions. It works for a world in which conflicts are settled without violence. Together with church and civil society partner organizations in Liberia, AGIAMONDO aims to contribute to civil conflict transformation there and to the sustainable equitable development of the country through peacebuilding measures.

The aftermath of the civil war (1989-2003), the severe Ebola crisis (2014) and the Covid-19 pandemic have had a major impact on the lives of many children in Liberia. These stressful experiences have led to a loss of security and trust, concentration problems, emotional outbursts and a loss of faith in a positive future. In the Diocese of Cape Palmas, guidance counselors are trained to meet the students' need for support.

For this demanding position, we offer a special "Rest & Recreation" option that allows for additional recreational vacation days to be taken outside of Harper, with the cost covered by us.
