Your work with AGIAMONDO and ALLMEP

Responsible and Challenging

AGIAMONDO is the personnel service of German Catholics for development cooperation. In the Civil Peace Service (CPS), we offer development workers a meaningful role working with local development agents. The CPS is a personnel programme for peace-building and the prevention of violence in crisis and conflict regions. It sets out to promote a world in which conflicts are settled without violence. Working with church-related and civil-social partner organisations in Israel/Palestine, AGIAMONDO aims to make a contribution towards civil conflict management and the sustainable and equitable development of the country through peace-building measures.

You will work in a highly professional core team of ALLMEP, which represents a network of over 160 organizations committed to civil society peacebuilding between Israelis and Palestinians. You will benefit from working with a wide range of civil society organizations from different sectors such as education, health and environment. The project meets the need for a comprehensive communication and awareness-raising initiative that makes the perspectives and political visions of peace actors in Israel and Palestine more visible. It strengthens the media skills of prominent civil society leaders and organizations in order to make their work better known in the local and international context. Frequent trips to the supported organizations and communities are also part of the tasks. The position offers you the opportunity to help shape innovative ideas for overcoming conflict, to introduce these into local and international discourse and to contribute to opinion-forming. In this way, you will create space for differentiated voices beyond polarization and extremism. The ALLMEP office is located in Jerusalem. Possible places of residence are Jerusalem, Ramallah or Bethlehem.
