Your cooperation with AGIAMONDO and Caritas San Vicente

Responsible and challenging

AGIAMONDO e. V. is the personnel service of German Catholics for development cooperation. In the Civil Peace Service, we offer professionals the opportunity for meaningful service in cooperation with local development actors. The Civil Peace Service (ZFD) is a personnel program for violence prevention and peacebuilding in crisis and conflict regions. It is committed to a world in which conflicts are resolved without violence.

Pastoral Social Caritas San Vicente works, in line with its church mandate, to promote human rights, social justice, and a constructive engagement with the region’s violent past. Rural communities in the department of San Vicente were heavily affected by the armed conflict; survivors continue to advocate for recognition, justice, and reparation.

The field of memory work has been part of the organizational structure for three years. Several intergenerational groups document local histories, oral traditions, and cultural practices. You support the partner organization in deepening this work and embedding it sustainably.

San Vicente is a small town in the rural centre of El Salvador, with basic infrastructure such as internet, supermarkets, and health centres. The capital, San Salvador (approximately two hours away), provides specialized medical services. The project area includes rural communities with limited infrastructure but rich natural and recreational spaces.

This location is not suitable for families with children.
