Responsible and challenging

AGIAMONDO e.V. is the personnel service of German Catholics for development cooperation. In the Civil Peace Service, we offer professionals the opportunity for meaningful service in cooperation with local development actors. The Civil Peace Service (ZFD) is a personnel program for violence prevention and peacebuilding in crisis and conflict regions. It is committed to a world in which conflicts are resolved without violence.
In Colombia, the CPS has been supporting civil society organisations for many years in developing non-violent conflict resolution, strengthening human rights and supporting traumatised communities. The work of the ZFD is based on partnership, trust and long-term commitment. Experts contribute their expertise, learn from local experiences and help to strengthen structures for peaceful coexistence.

Together with its local partner organisation Corporación Vínculos, the ZFD is committed to sustainable peace processes in Colombia. The focus is on community-based psychosocial support, promoting dialogue and reconciliation, and strengthening social participation – especially for Afro-Colombian, indigenous and rural communities.

This position offers the opportunity to combine psychosocial approaches with the prevention of gender-based violence and youth-led peace work – in an interculturally diverse environment that provides valuable learning experiences.

Due to frequent travel between Bogotá and Buenaventura, this position is not suitable for families with children.
